We do not publish information from anonymous sources without rigorous internal verification, including corroboration by at least one additional source and approval by senior editorial staff.

Conflicts of Interest

All contributors must disclose any financial holdings or relationships that could create a conflict of interest. Writers and editors are required to recuse themselves from covering topics where a personal conflict exists. This includes direct holdings in tokens, advisory roles with projects, and personal relationships with subjects of coverage.

Corrections Policy

When errors are discovered, we correct them promptly and note significant corrections at the bottom of the affected article. Minor typographical errors may be corrected without notation. Factual errors, misattributions, or incorrect data are corrected with a dated correction notice.

Opinion and Analysis

Opinion pieces, market analysis, and commentary are clearly labeled as such. These articles represent the views of the individual author and not necessarily those of TheWeal as an organization. We require opinion writers to disclose any financial positions relevant to the subject matter.

Advertising and Sponsored Content

Advertisements and sponsored content are clearly distinguished from editorial content. Sponsored articles are labeled with a “Sponsored” tag and include a disclosure notice. Sponsored content undergoes the same fact-checking process as editorial content, though the subject and angle are determined by the sponsor.

AI and Automation

TheWeal does not publish AI-generated news articles. All reporting is produced by human journalists. We may use AI tools for research assistance, data analysis, or content optimization, but final editorial decisions and writing are performed by humans.
